Sea Org Motto
(The Field)
Let's play a game of "What If".
You should know by now that the Sea Org motto was "revenimus", which translates, in English to "We Come Back". If you didn't know that, well now you do, 'cause I just told you.
When I first found out about that, I couldn't quite make the connection with the Sea Org. But considering those billion year contracts, I sort of figured it might be because there would probably be a lot of "coming back" involved, if you catch my meaning.
But what if there was more to it?
At one point, Ron commented that, on his way down for the last time, his postulate was, "Some day, I'm going to work out a way out of this and tell these people what you're done!" Fact is, that's why we're here today. Ron's postulate stuck. He came back. In spades.
But I'm sure he wasn't the only one who had the same thought. A lot of people probably thought, "Oh crap! I'm doomed." And that was it. But I'm sure there were a bunch of us who thought, "I not gonna just put up with this. We're not done here, Jack!" The idea being we weren't going to tolerate this any more than Ron was, though we may have approached it in a different way.
So what if there were a lot of us who had made the decision to eventually "come back"? And that's how we ended up in the here and now? And what if Ron recognized a lot of us when we did show up on his doorstep? He had a pretty good memory.
And what if, when he was putting together an elite team to lead the way in guarding, protecting and delivering the Advanced Materials, he figured that a bunch of those really obstinate ones would show up to be on the team?
Suddenly "We Come Back" doesn't quite mean what it ordinarily would. Maybe it also encompassed a bunch of us who were part of a loose group at the time, and had come back to be part of this new group, ready to repair the damage and spread the word about what happened many moons ago.
For me, that was another pretty interesting realization.
And now, what if, going forward, our Independent Church Of Scientology had that same motto? Why? Because here we are coming back yet again. The Church that was, having been imploded and crushed by a bunch of evil folk, and here we are, coming back in a new Church, not auditing by email, but actually following Ron's Tech and holding up a torch for the rest of our "team", to light the way into the future. Something to consider.
Lastly, back in the distant past, when Christians and Jews were being persecuted and censored, they developed certain signs and symbols, which told other similarly minded folk, that this or that place was a place where they could congregate and such. That fish thing you see on bumper stickers is one of those ancient Christian signs. More recently bums and hobos (today known as "homeless") had a whole range of signs and symbols which communicated various messages to their fellows. Like, "These people will give you food." And, "Don't ride these rails; this company will kick you off their box cars."
Today, a lot of us are being actively censored. But, unlike it was envisioned in science fiction, it's not the government doing it, so much as it is social media. Facebook, Youtube, Google, Twitter and the like. If you're following the news and social media, you're seeing this.
And what if, some day, more so than today, it got to the point where we had to be careful about what we said and who we said it to? Like, really careful? Our religion is already banned in some countries. Perhaps that motto, spoken even in a whisper or uttered in some long forgotten language, could serve as a secret sign post for the rest of our team members?
Just some things to think about.
